On Tuesday evening, the podcast NRC Vandaag (NRC Today)  won a Dutch Podcast Award in the Daily Podcast category. This is the third consecutive time that NRC Vandaag has won the award in this category.

Since 2019, the NRC editorial team has been producing a 20-minute episode every working day based on the story of the day. Since this year, the podcast has been presented by editors Bram Endedijk and Gabriella Adèr. Earlier this year, the NRC podcast Haagse Zaken won the PrinsjesPodcastprijs for the episode ‘Everything you need to know to understand NSC’.

“It is yet another reward for our team, which is always working—often together with our writing colleagues—to tell a news story in the best possible way in twenty minutes,” says Rogier van ‘t Hek, head of the audio editorial team. “Winning for the third time in a row makes us extra proud; it’s a sign that the format is working, also with our new presenter Bram Endedijk, who clearly made his own contribution last year. The same goes for Gabriella Adèr, of course, who has been behind the microphone for some time now.”

The Dutch Podcast Awards are an initiative of BNR Nieuwsradio. The prizes are awarded by independent professional juries consisting of podcast makers and publishers. Jury members may not be involved in the podcasts they judge.
